Angus is more than a breed; it’s a community of success. The American Angus Association fosters that success
through various educational events throughout the year, regardless of scale or experience. Attendees range from
members to their commercial customers to anyone with a stake in the breed’s success. Events will be updated here

Beef Leaders Institute – Funded through the
Angus Foundation, BLI is designed for Association members 25 to 45 years old to provide insight into the beef industry,
while enhancing their knowledge of the Association and strengthening leadership skills.
Cattlemen’s Boot Camp – This educational event is a
1½-day session co-hosted by a university, the American Angus Association®, and the Angus Foundation and is open to all
seedstock and commercial cattle producers. The event allows members of all ages and experience to either brush up on
their knowledge or learn the basics.
Annual Meeting – The American Angus Association hosts its annual meeting in November. Attendees gather to hear year-end
updates from Association staff, attend education sessions and networking events. Association delegates also attend the
Convention of Delegates to conduct the organization’s business and elect board directors.
Junior activities - Thousands of young Angus juniors participate in team-building and leadership programs through the National Junior
Angus Association. The NJAA hosts several events during the year to build young members’ skills and character.
